I've taken this lovely, light-filled living room and given it a fresh, welcoming personality while keeping its calm and airy spirit intact.
Before, the space felt beautifully neutral and serene, with soft beige walls, a creamy sofa, and a simple round coffee table resting on a quiet, textured rug. Everything blended together in a gentle, understated way, creating a calm backdrop that let the beautiful windows and natural light take center stage.
In the new design, I wanted to bring more warmth, character, and quiet energy into the room. I swapped the sofa for a rich sage green that adds depth and coziness without feeling heavy. The biggest transformation came with the rug—I introduced a soft geometric pattern in warm neutrals, muted greens, and gentle golds, which grounds the space and ties everything together beautifully.
A sleek rectangular coffee table replaced the round one, offering a more modern silhouette while still feeling organic with its wood tone. I added a sculptural floor lamp with a warm glow and a tall, leafy plant that brings life and movement into the corner. On the left wall, a bold abstract artwork introduces a playful touch of color that echoes the tones in the rug.
The result is a room that still feels peaceful and bright, but now has more personality, warmth, and quiet charm—inviting you to sit down and stay awhile.
