Warm 7 Living Room

I've transformed this once-quiet, neutral living room into a warm, inviting space that feels full of personality and life.

Starting with the walls, I kept the soft gray tone but layered in rich, earthy colors through the furnishings. The biggest shift came from swapping the plain white curtains for bold, rust-and-gold striped drapes that bring warmth and drama to the right side of the room. I replaced the simple beige sofa with a large, welcoming L-shaped sectional in deep olive and burnt orange, creating a cozy spot that invites you to sink in.

The flooring stayed the same beautiful dark wood, but I grounded the space with a vibrant, high-pile rug full of swirling patterns in orange, gold, and cream. This anchors the room and adds texture underfoot. I traded the round wooden coffee table for a sleek glass one that feels lighter and more modern, while adding sculptural orange lamps, hanging plants, and a striking round mirror to bring in curves and visual interest.

Finally, I updated the lighting with a track system overhead and kept the soft ceiling fixture, so the room glows warmly in the evening. The result is a space that still feels open and airy, but now has soul—colorful, comfortable, and full of character.
