Description

I took this bright, open living space and gave it a gentle, thoughtful refresh that feels both polished and welcoming.

In the original room, the foundation was already lovely—the warm wood floors, soft neutral walls, and generous light created a calm canvas. But it still felt a little bare, like the room was waiting for its final layer of personality.

To bring it to life, I added a few key pieces that make the space feel complete and lived-in. On the left wall, a simple round sunburst mirror now catches the light from the French doors and adds a soft architectural touch without overwhelming the space. On the right, a tall, graceful palm in a warm terracotta pot brings in a natural, organic element that softens the straight lines of the architecture.

The biggest change sits at the center: I replaced the darker coffee table with a lighter, two-tiered design in a soft natural wood tone. Its lower shelf holds a small collection of books, adding subtle layers and texture while keeping the surface uncluttered. A few refined accessories—a sculptural bowl and a couple of carefully chosen books—complete the look.

Together, these touches make the room feel more balanced, inviting, and thoughtfully finished, while still keeping that same peaceful, airy feeling you loved from the start.
