Description

I took this once-quiet, neutral living room and gave it a gentle but noticeable refresh—something that feels warm, welcoming, and a little more alive.

The biggest change was swapping the plain ceiling light for a large, woven pendant that now hangs like a soft basket of light in the center of the room. It instantly draws the eye upward and adds texture. I also brought in a beautiful abstract painting on the left wall; its soft blues and greens echo the view outside and give the space a focal point it was missing.

On the floor, I replaced the solid rug with one that has a subtle geometric pattern—still soft and neutral, but with just enough interest to ground the room. The coffee table was swapped for a lighter, round piece with a lower shelf, and I styled it with simple ceramic vases and natural shells for an organic touch.

The biggest natural addition was the tall olive tree in the corner. It brings life, height, and a soft green accent that makes the whole room feel fresher. I also updated the left side table to a more rustic style and changed the lamp to a softer ceramic base, creating better balance with the other side.

Overall, the room still feels calm and light, but now it has more personality, texture, and a quiet sense of nature woven throughout.
