I've transformed this space from a bright but somewhat flat and cluttered living room into a cozy, nature-inspired retreat that feels like a quiet woodland escape.
The biggest shift came from painting the walls a deep forest green and adding that beautiful tree-patterned wallpaper on the right wall. This instantly gave the room a warm, enveloping feel—like stepping into a secret garden rather than a plain beige box. I kept the same basic layout but refined it to feel more intentional and layered.
The biggest visual change is the new round coffee table made from a real tree stump with a glass top—it became the heart of the room and brings in that organic, sculptural element. I swapped the gray sofa for a rich green one and dressed it with embroidered pillows and a chunky knit throw to make it feel more inviting. String lights now wrap around the window and coffee table, adding a soft, magical glow in the evenings.
I also replaced the TV stand with a more rustic wooden piece that matches the natural theme, and I brought in that large moss wreath and the sculptural branch elements to reinforce the forest atmosphere. The wooden bookshelf stayed, but I styled it with more intention and added a dramatic twisted branch beside it for height and texture.
Overall, the room went from feeling like a functional shared space to a personal sanctuary—still practical, but now much more soulful and serene.
