Description

I took this serene but somewhat flat living room and gave it warmth, personality, and a gentle sense of movement.

The biggest shift came from the color palette. Where everything once stayed in soft beige and cream, I introduced a rich teal sofa as the new anchor. Against the warm wood floors, that deeper tone feels grounded and inviting. I then layered in golden-yellow and soft green pillows to bring in sunlight and freshness, creating a quiet conversation between cool and warm tones.

The rug was replaced with one that carries subtle washes of blue, gold, and cream, gently echoing the new colors while adding texture underfoot. The coffee table evolved from a solid round piece to a lighter, oval design with slim metal legs, keeping the flow open while feeling more modern.

On the walls, two small abstract artworks now greet you as you enter, and a round mirror on the opposite side bounces light around the room. A tall brass floor lamp and a few thoughtfully placed plants add height and life. Even the curtains were swapped for a softly striped fabric that feels a little more tailored.

The result is still calm and comfortable, but now it has a quiet spark—more personality, more warmth, and a space that feels truly lived in.
