Description

I've transformed this living room from a calm, neutral space into one that feels fresh, inviting, and thoughtfully layered.

In the original room, everything felt very light and soft—the creamy sofa, warm wood tones, and simple setup created a quiet, almost understated feel. While it was comfortable, it lacked personality and a sense of life.

To bring it to life, I introduced a soft gray sofa as the new anchor, which adds subtle depth while still keeping the room bright. I swapped the darker wood side tables for clean white ones, giving the space a lighter, more modern touch. The round coffee table was replaced with a larger, lighter wood version that feels more substantial and sculptural.

The biggest changes came through the additions: a tall fiddle-leaf fig tree now brings organic shape and greenery near the French doors, while a round mirror above it reflects light and adds interest. On the opposite wall, a small gallery of framed art creates a focal point that was missing before. I also updated the lamps to have a softer, sculptural silhouette and placed a small plant on the coffee table to complete the natural, lived-in feeling.

Overall, the room now feels more balanced, welcoming, and current—still calm, but with much more character and warmth.
