Description

I took this once-quiet, neutral living room and gave it a warm, organic soul.

The soft beige walls stayed as a gentle backdrop, but everything else was reimagined to feel more alive and connected to nature. The pale sofa was swapped for a rich sage green that brings depth and calm, while the smooth wooden coffee table was replaced with a striking live-edge slab that feels like it was pulled straight from the forest. On either side, simple tree-stump tables replaced the traditional end tables, adding an unexpected, sculptural touch.

I layered in soft textures throughout: a jute rug with a delicate leaf pattern grounds the space, while woven lampshades and a round rattan mirror introduce warmth and natural materials. Most importantly, I brought the outdoors in—placing a tall fiddle-leaf fig beside the window and letting trailing greenery spill over the new fireplace mantel. A simple glass vase filled with bare branches on the coffee table completes the feeling of quiet, thoughtful living.

The result is a room that still feels open and airy, but now has heart, texture, and a gentle connection to the natural world just outside those doors.
