I took this lovely, open living room and gave it a warm, lived-in refresh that feels both polished and welcoming.
The biggest shift was swapping out the bulky round coffee table for a sleek rectangular one with a lower shelf. This instantly opened up the flow of the room while adding practical storage for books and a simple vase. I also replaced the heavier side tables with lighter, more delicate ones that have soft gold frames—they feel airier and let more light bounce around the space.
To bring life and softness to the right side of the room, I added a tall fiddle-leaf fig tree in a natural woven basket. It fills the empty corner beautifully and adds a touch of organic greenery. Above it, a simple wood-framed mirror now reflects the windows and makes the room feel even brighter and more spacious.
The result is a room that still feels calm and neutral, but now has more personality, better balance, and a sense that someone actually lives here and enjoys the space.
