Description

I transformed this once-plain and slightly cluttered hallway into a warm, inviting space with personality and depth.

In the before, the long, narrow corridor felt a bit anonymous. Light gray feathered wallpaper kept things bright but also made the space feel flat, while the gray dresser and scattered shoes gave it a temporary, “just passing through” feeling. The lighting was functional but uninspiring.

For the after, I introduced a richer, more dramatic mood. I replaced the pale wallpaper with a deep navy blue featuring elegant gold palm motifs, which instantly gives the hallway a sophisticated, collected look. To balance the darker walls, I brought in warm metallic accents and layered lighting: a striking geometric ceiling pendant now casts a cozy glow, complemented by a sculptural table lamp on a sleek dark-wood console. The simple round mirror was swapped for a bold sunburst design that reflects light beautifully and adds a touch of glamour.

On the opposite wall, a compact round table with stacked vintage books and a small trunk underneath creates a curated moment without blocking the flow. Finally, a bold geometric rug in navy, beige, and warm neutrals anchors the space and adds softness underfoot while visually guiding you toward the door.

The result is a hallway that feels intentional, welcoming, and far more spacious despite its narrow footprint.
