Description

I took this once-simple, airy living room and gave it a warm, collected elegance that feels both timeless and inviting.

Where the space was once anchored by a plain round coffee table and a quiet beige rug, I introduced a substantial rectangular table with turned legs and a beautifully detailed rug that brings soft blue tones and gentle movement underfoot. The sofa stayed, but I layered in more texture and interest with the pillows and let the new scale of the furnishings create a cozier, more grounded seating area.

The biggest transformation came from the walls and lighting. I replaced the single ceiling fixture with a graceful crystal chandelier that now casts a warm, sparkling glow across the room. On either side of the window, I added a pair of ornate gilded mirrors that bounce light and add a touch of old-world charm, while a large landscape painting above the sofa brings depth and a sense of history. The side tables were swapped for more traditional silhouettes, topped with classic lamps and fresh potted plants that soften the corners.

Even the window treatments were refined—one side now features gently striped drapery that adds subtle pattern and movement. The result is a room that still feels bright and open thanks to the French doors and hardwood floors, but now carries a richer, more personal story—one that feels finished, welcoming, and quietly luxurious.
