I took a calm but rather blank canvas and turned it into a room that feels collected, warm, and full of personality.
In the original space, everything was soft and quiet—light walls, a pale sofa, a simple round table, and a plain rug. It felt open and peaceful, but it lacked a sense of life or focus. My goal was to keep the room’s natural light and generous proportions while giving it depth, warmth, and a story.
I introduced a fireplace on the right wall to create an instant focal point and a sense of welcome. Above it, a large geometric mirror reflects light and adds a touch of glamour. The sofa was swapped for a bold blue-and-white chevron pattern that brings energy and movement, balanced by two richly patterned side cabinets and a striking geometric rug that grounds the entire seating area.
To soften the boldness and bring in a touch of nature, I added two tall palm plants that frame the back windows. Patterned drapery replaced the plain white curtains, tying the colors together, while sculptural accessories, framed art, and a sleek marble-and-brass coffee table added layers of texture and interest. The result is still airy and comfortable, but now it feels curated and lived-in—like a room that invites you to sit down and stay awhile.
