Description

I've taken this bright, open living room and given it a warmer, more grounded feel while keeping its light and airy spirit.

The biggest shift came from swapping out the smooth, pale rug for a natural jute one with beautiful texture. It instantly makes the space feel more organic and inviting underfoot. I also replaced the round coffee table with a longer, rectangular wooden one that has a lower shelf, giving the room a stronger horizontal line and more surface area for styling.

To bring life and movement into the space, I added a tall fiddle-leaf fig tree in a simple metal pot near the French doors. It softens the corner and creates a lovely connection to the greenery outside. On the opposite wall, I hung a round wooden mirror that reflects light beautifully and adds a gentle curve to balance all the straight lines.

Finally, I styled the coffee table with a low bowl filled with trailing greenery, which adds a fresh, natural touch without cluttering the room. The result feels calmer, more collected, and like a true extension of the garden beyond the windows.
