I took this lovely, sun-filled living room and gave it a fresh, modern refresh while keeping its warm and welcoming spirit.

Before, the space had a cozy, traditional feel with a plush off-white sofa, rich wooden side tables, and a round coffee table that grounded the room beautifully. The soft beige walls and dark wood floors created a calm backdrop, but everything felt a little heavy and matched.

In the updated version, I lightened and modernized the look by swapping the sofa for a soft gray one that feels cleaner and more current. I replaced the wooden tables with sculptural, light-colored stone pedestals that add texture without weighing the space down. The round wooden coffee table gave way to a sleek rectangular marble design with slim black legs, which opens up the room and creates a more contemporary focal point.

To add personality and visual interest, I introduced a simple geometric artwork on the wall and brought in a touch of greenery with a delicate vase of olive branches. The result is a brighter, more refined space that still feels comfortable and livable—just with a lighter, more modern touch.
